Ten Eating Rules

 

 

 

Healthy Eating = balance, variety and moderation.

 

 

1                   Eat the servings designated in the food pyramid.

 

2                   Drink a lot of water... up to 2 liters a day

(more if exercising /sweating.)

 

3                   Eat a variety of nutrient-rich foods.

 

4                   Reduce, but don’t eliminate fats. Eat healthy fats.

 

5                   Enjoy plenty of whole grains, fruits and vegetables

 

6                   Eat moderate portions.

 

7                   Eat regular meals.

 

8                   Balance your food choices over time.

 

9                   Stay away from junk food.

 

10              Eat foods close to nature, in their whole food form.

 

 

One extra tip:

 

     Shop the perimeter of super markets.
