Fibromyalgia is a debilitating disease affecting the entire body causing  severe muscle pain.  Many believe  there is no cure, and that this 'autoimmune condition'  is caused by a digestive condition called 'leaky gut syndrome.  Fibromyalgia  sufferers often feel restless and  experience  pain early in the day, which  seems to get better as the day progresses. Stress, activity and weather changes produce pain, and gets worse despite following all prescribed treatments.

If you are a victim of this disease, even your friends, family and co-workers may not understand the pain because there are  no visible signs only excruciating pain and emotional disturbance. They assume that you are pretending or making excuses not to  work. Fybromyalgia can cause depression and moodiness. Many seek encouragement and understanding in support groups, they feel is missing from family and friends.

Fibromyalgia can cause other conditions such as sleep disturbance, chronic fatigue, anxiety, depression, gastrointestinal disturbance, irritable bowel syndrome, bladder disturbance, headaches, asthma and weight problems.  Because fibromyalgia is related to many other health problems, it is awfully hard for doctors to diagnose.

Some major contributing factors in the development of fibromyalgia are:

Stress, Trauma, environmental toxins, metabolic waste, and viral and bacterial or fungal invasions. And finally the lack of hydrochloric acid in the stomach.

Suggestions to overcome fibromyalgia and other autoimmune disorders:

1 ) Improve digestion by chewing foods well to stimulate the enzyme amylase  to start digestion of starch. Supplementation with digestive enzyme with meals when containing lots of animal protein and fats. This supplementation may also benefit people who have had the gallbladder removed, to enhance fat digestion and prevent constipation.

2 ) Learning about correct food combining:  having fruits /  juices /concentrated sugars at least 20-30 minutes before meals or three hours after a meal containing protein, starch and fats.

3 ) Eat only when hungry.

4 ) Sip beverage between mouthfuls of food, (no ice cold beverages)

5 ) Improve liver function with an herbal detox formula.

6 ) Improve colon function by using an herbal detox  formula..  When normal bowel function is restored, continue to eat foods high in dietary fiber, especially from beans, and  avoid all refined foods.

Follow food elimination plan to remove all allergy causing food:

7 ) Avoid all forms of dairy products, wheat, rye, oats, spelt, buckwheat, barley and corn products.     At the end of  7-14 days, add foods back to the diet one by one at the rate of one food per 3-4 days.  Watch for reactions or problems as each food is re-introduced.

If you discover food sensitivities, avoid the troubling foods. All tolerated foods should be eaten at intervals of 4 to 5 days or longer. Eating these foods on a rotating basis will prevent you to developing  new allergies.

8 ). Drink at least 8 glasses of pure water daily. Water helps in digestion, elimination, detoxification and cleansing.

9 ). Essential fatty acids are often deficient in persons with fibromyalgia. How you control your dietary fat intake can significantly increase or decrease  inflammation.  Good sources include mackerel, herring, sardines,  salmon, chicken, butter, olive oil, walnut, pecans, cashew, almonds, avocado, chicken.

10 ) Completely eliminate nightshade foods, which slow down collagen repair in the joints or promote the inflammatory process. Tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, and peppers.

11 ).  Yeast is often a contributor to Fibromayalgia.  Avoid sugar, wheat, dairy products, fermented foods, molds and yeast. Yeast can cause irritation in the intestine.
