Do You need to Detox?

In the environment we live in today, we all need to detox occasionally, the foods we eat, the toxins all around us, put a strain on the immune system.  Detox-ing can renew and revive the body. (It's better than a tune up.)

Do you want to:

Increase your energy, Lose weight, Boost your immunity, Improve your digestion, Balance your hormones, create Beautiful skin, Improve your mood, Enhance your memory & concentration, Say no to cancer, Say no to heart disease, Say no to Alzheimer’s, Say no to arthritis?

If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, you may want to look at a detoxification program. Here is an easy and safe one to consider.

The Health Restoration 101 detox plan:

Begin the detox plan on the weekend or during a time when you don’t have too much going on.

Walk at least fifteen minutes every day.

Drink at least ( one half your body weight) in ounces of water each day – purified, distilled, filtered or bottled. You can also drink herb teas. ( 200 lbs. equals 100 ozs. Water )

Have half a pint of fruit or vegetable juice – either carrot and apple juice (you can buy these two separately and combine them with one-third water) with grated ginger, or fresh watermelon juice a day. The watermelon is high in beta-carotene and vitamin C. The seeds are high in vitamin E and antioxidant minerals zinc and selenium. You can blend flesh and seeds together in a blender.

Eat an abundance of:

Fruit – the most beneficial fruits include fresh apricots, all berries, cantaloupe, citrus fruits, kiwi, papaya, peaches, mango, melons and red grapes.

Vegetables – especially artichokes, peppers, beetroot, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, red cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, cucumber, kale, pumpkin, spinach, sweet potato, tomato, watercress and bean and seed sprouts.

Eat in moderation

Grains – brown rice, corn, millet, quinoa: not more than twice a day.

Fish – salmon, mackerel, sardines, tuna: not more than once a day.

Oils – use extra-virgin olive oil for cooking and in place of butter, and cold-pressed seed oils for dressing.

Nuts and seeds – one handful a day of raw, unsalted nuts and seeds should be included. Choose almonds, Brazil nuts, hazelnuts, pecan nuts, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds and flax seeds.

Supplement with multivitamins/minerals, and some aloe vera juice.

Avoid all wheat products, all meat and dairy produce – milk and all dairy products, eggs and meat, salt – and any foods containing them. And all hydrogenated fats, artificial sweeteners, food additives and preservatives, fried foods, spices, dried fruit.

Limit potatoes to one portion every other day and bananas to one every other day.

Don’t be surprised if you feel worse for a couple of days before you feel better. This is especially likely if you are eliminating foods you are allergic to.

After two weeks on this eating plan you will notice changes in your body that will really surprise you. You’ll look better, feel better, and people will ask you “what are you doing”, something is different about you?

That is the proof that you are creating a healthy lifestyle.
