You Can Win Against
Cancer
Cancerous
cells are constantly
being created in our bodies. It's an ongoing process that
has gone on for decades. But, the immune system is designed to seek
out and destroy cancer cells.
Cancer
has probably been around for as long as mankind, but only in the
second half of the 20th century has the number of cancer
cases grown to epidemic numbers. Causing this sudden increase are
the excessive amounts of toxins and pollutants we are exposed to
everyday, high stress lifestyles, poor quality foods,
pesticides, irradiated imported foods, and now more
genetically engineered, pathogens, electromagnetic
stress, all over tax the immune system, and dozens of
things that just weren’t here 100 years ago.
All
these weaken
the immune system, and alter the internal environment in the body to
an environment that promotes the growth of
cancer.
Cancer
is not a mysterious disease that suddenly attacks out of the
blue. It has definite causes that we can correct, if the body
has enough time, and if we take
action to change the internal environment to one
that creates health, not illness. We can attack cancerous cells and
tumors by exploiting their weaknesses.
Cancer
tumors begin when more cancerous cells are
created than an overworked, depleted immune system can destroy.
Constant
exposure to tens of thousands of manmade chemicals from birth
forward, chlorinated and fluoridated water, electromagnetic
radiation, pesticides and other toxins, leads to the creation of too
many free
radicals, and no way to rid the body of them.
Alone
this would be enough to raise cancer levels, but combined with an
immune system weakened by a diet of refined and over processed food,
mineral depleted soils, too much exposure to artificial light at
night, and too little sleep, the immune system at some point
no longer is able to keep cancer in
check.
If you’ve decided to have
the conventional treatment, chemotherapy, surgery or radiation, to
win against cancer, nutrition must be an important part of the
treatment plan.
While the oncologist
works at prescribing, the course of care, you must ready your body
for the trauma these therapies cause, and give your body the fighter
power to win.
Winning requires a
strengthened immune system, which may be difficult to achieve
because many persons lose there appetite and energy, which
increases the risk of malnutrition.
Food choices during
cancer treatment need to be high calorie, high protein, nutrient
dense, easy to chew and to swallow.
If you can, before
treatment begins, start on a high protein, high calorie diet, taking
a really good multi-vitamin multi-mineral supplement.
Stock up on items such as peanut butter, eggs, real cheese, chicken,
turkey, fish, and dark green veggies, and fresh fruits. The best are
Beans, berries, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, garlic and
onions, grapes, and tomatoes. ( Buying organic and pesticide
free). Try adding soy products to your diet, and don’t
neglect the fiber in whole grains.
Exercise daily, and eat
like you are in training.
You
are in the race of your life.
If you are getting
chemotherapy or radiation therapy it may be difficult to get
enough nutrients when you don’t feel like eating, are low on
energy, and just feeling bad. Remember, the right nutrition can make
all the difference in your recovery.
Stock the refrigerator
with your favorite foods. Cook large portions of your favorites and
store. Cook foods to a soft and tender consistency. If chewing
and swallowing solid foods becomes difficult, go to juicing fresh
vegetables and fruits, daily. ( again, organic
).
Keep up your exercise
routine. Regular exercise before and during cancer treatment
will help your appetite and digestion, decrease the stress level and
improve your mood and muscle tone. All part of the decision to
win against this disease.
Ask for help when you
need it, to conserve energy.
Sleep at night and rest
or nap in the day.
Eat at the times you feel
your best.
Eat often. Or have
freshly juiced fruits and veggies.
Take multi-vitamin
multi-mineral supplement.
Drink only purified
water, & green tea
Remove refined sugar from
the diet, and artificial
sweeteners.
Improve oxygenation with
deep breathing.
Take a good
quality enzyme supplement with
meals.
Pray and
meditate.
